Did You Know: Volunteers at FFL

Each day, the library depends on the services provided by its compliment of over 30 volunteers to help keep things running smoothly. These community members, ranging from high school students to granparents, generously donate their time to help support the services provided by the library. From shelving materials, to making phone calls, to laminating books, to sorting sheet music, our volunteers take part in many of the day-to-day tasks of the library, and in doing so provide a service not only to us but to the rest of the community as well.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer at the Fayetteville Free Library, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Barbara Craner, at 637-6374 x309 or bcraner@fayettevillefreelibrary.org.

The Reading Room at the Fayetteville Free Library is the perfect place to get comfortable with a good book. Quiet and kept warm by a working fireplace, this room is ideal for reading, studying, and much more. Get settled with your laptop and catch our wireless internet signal, FFLAir. View displays from the Local History collection detailing the history of Fayetteville and the surrounding area. Check out a different art exhibit each month. Wander down and visit the Motto Music Collection. And don’t forget that the Reading Room houses our great collection of newspapers and magazines, with new titles for 2007 including Cook’s Illustrated, O, The Oprah Magazine, and Rolling Stone.
